DJI Terra is 3D modeling software equipped with next-generation reconstruction technologies[1], including 3D Gaussian Splatting. It supports accurate and efficient 2D and 3D reconstruction from visible light imagery, and processes data collected by DJI LiDAR.
When integrated with DJI drones and DJI Modify [2], Terra delivers a unified hardware and software solution for data acquisition, processing, and application, streamlining aerial surveying workflows for greater efficiency and accuracy.
- Gaussian Splatting: Terra introduces Gaussian Splatting, which quickly generates detailed and realistic 3D models from photos, accurately restoring diverse scenes such as cultural relics, architectural projects, urban blocks, and scenic gardens.
- Photogrammetry: Terra rapidly generates high-precision 3D models, point clouds, true digital orthophoto maps (TDOM), and digital surface models (DSM) from photos.
- LiDAR Reconstruction: Terra enables deep integration of LiDAR and visible light data. With a single Zenmuse LiDAR acquisition, users can simultaneously generate high-precision point clouds, 2D maps, and 3D mesh models.
- Multispectral Reconstruction [3]: Leverage multispectral data from DJI Mavic 3 Multispectral and Phantom 4 Multispectral to generate vegetation index maps, including NDVI and NDRE, for actionable insights into plant growth and health. Terra also supports radiometric correction and the creation of reflectance maps for remote sensing research.
- Hardware Synergy for Multi-Scene Aerial Surveying: When used with Matrice 4E, Matrice 400, Zenmuse P1, Zenmuse L2, and D-RTK 3, Terra delivers cost-effective visible light and professional-grade LiDAR mapping solutions.
- Authorization Modes [4]: Online authorization and offline authorization are supported.
[1] System requirements: Windows 10 or above (64-bit), 32 GB of RAM, and an NVIDIA graphics card with at least 4 GB of GPU memory and compute capability 6.1 or above.
[2] DJI Modify, DJI's first intelligent 3D model editing software, can work with DJI Terra to provide a comprehensive solution for aerial surveying, modeling, model editing, and sharing.
[3] Multispectral reconstruction supports DJI Mavic 3 Multispectral and Phantom 4 Multispectral.
[4] Only online licenses are available in DJI Store. Please ensure network connectivity when you use the software. Each license can be bound to only one DJI account and one computer, and the account that is bound to a license cannot be changed.

Why Drone Insurance Matters – And Where to Get It
Flying a drone can be exciting and rewarding—but it also comes with risks. While drone insurance isn't always legally required, it’s highly recommended to protect yourself, your equipment, and others around you. Whether you’re flying for fun, professional photography, or commercial inspections, having the right insurance offers peace of mind and may be required by clients or job sites.
💡 Why You Should Consider Drone Insurance
🔹 Liability Coverage
Protects you financially if your drone causes property damage or injury to others.
🔹 Damage Protection
Covers repair or replacement costs if your drone is damaged due to crashes, hard landings, or environmental hazards.
🔹 Theft Coverage
Helps recover losses if your drone or gear is stolen.
🔹 Client & Regulatory Compliance
Many commercial projects, job sites, and government contracts require proof of insurance before allowing flight operations.
🔹 Peace of Mind
Know you’re covered—legally and financially—so you can focus on flying with confidence.
🛡️ Types of Drone Insurance
✅ Liability Insurance – Covers third-party injury and property damage.
✅ Hull Insurance – Protects your drone and payload (like cameras or sensors) from physical damage.
✅ Personal Injury Insurance – Covers medical costs for you or your crew during drone operations.
